Dear diary, this journey to the west was hard.So many people died.I went to the west to find gold.We heard in California that there was a gold rush and was hard to get to.We had to take the Oregon trail.Many of my family and friends went on this long journey.Lots of people made log cabins for their stay.I did not want to make a log cadine,and we were moving a lot.It was the longest journey I had taken.It took 6 months to get to California.I was so happy when I heard about the Gold Rush.My family would have money to live on if I got some Gold.We would have to go through the Appalachain Mountains which was not easy.We also had a BIG cattle Drive which was hard to get through the Mountains.We had to have lots of Cowboys to get the cattle straight.Many people did not live.There were a lot of people in California when we got their.Most of then were Miners or Pioneers.When we got their we went straight to where we knew the Gold was.There was a lot of people their.In the End NOT a lot of people came out with gold.I did not get gold but its o.k.Live is good here.So that was the California gold rush.P.S we were called the 49ers.
